Carlos opened the door and bright fluorescent light flooded into the dark room.  He peeked out into the hall to make sure the coast was clear, then we cautiously stepped out.  "We're four stories underground," Carlos told me.  "We'll have to get up one floor to the lab, then take the freight elevator up to the loading dock if you want to get your truck out of here."
Carlos led me down the brightly lit hall.  I was completely lost, having never been in this part of the building before (at least that I could remember).  Carlos stopped at a corner and peeked around it.  I

Vehicle: 1935 Mercedes-Benz 500K Special Roadster

Based on an original photograph I took at the Sinsheim Auto & Technik Museum, Sinsheim, Germany.

I removed the car from its museum environment and created a studio setting in Photoshop with lighting and shadows, among other tweaks.

Was there not much color in the original picture? Having been to the Blackhawk Auto Museum, I can imagine that being the case.

I desaturated the picture, but it was a black car in the first place.
